Even though I want to title this blog post, 'Everything We Know About Jurassic World 2' because Fallen Kingdom was such a big pile of shit (Get it? Couldn't help it), I unfortunately can't due to normies becoming confused.
So, let's just fuc$#%g forget about JW2 and move on to what we know so far about JW3. This looks much more promising then it's previous installment, and I think Universal is starting to see the value in putting out quality content to build a larger cinematic universe.
They're Bringing Back Laura Dern, Sam Neill, and Jeff Goldblum
We were jerked off HARD when we were told that Jeff Goldblum would be reprising his role as Ian Malcolm for JW2. All we got was a 3 minute monologue for what was marketed as a substantial role in the film.
In hopes of rectifying their mistake, it seems like Universal is going to bring back the original 3 main characters of Ellie Sattler, Alan Grant, and Ian Malcolm. This is huge, seeing as JW2 didn't really have any serious human characters that hooked the audience.
Chris Pratt was barely in the movie, Bryce Dallas Howard was annoying and contradicting, and they failed to get the audience emotionally attached to the clone child. This would have all been amazing if they just. put. some. god. damn. effort. into. the. film.
There's a Short Film That Sets the Tone for JW3
This short film in itself is astronomically better than JW2. It subtly shows us that dinosaurs now rule the Earth again without outright telling us, and follows the story of a family's struggle to cope with this new Jurassic World.
I don't want to spoil it for you, here, watch it yourself:
It's Time for Jurassic World to Live Up to Its Name
Ever since the release of JW1, it's been known that dinosaurs will no longer be confined to Isla Nublar or Sorna. Although it took 3 movies to get there, it's finally happening.
After the release of the above short film and commentary from cast & crew, it's confirmed that dinosaurs will rule the earth yet again.
This makes sense too seeing as they're bringing back original characters. It was confirmed in previous iterations that there is no force on heaven or earth that could get them back on that island, so to bring the dinosaurs to them makes much more sense.
What do you think about JW3? Excited or eye-rolling?
Let me know in the comments!
